  6. BS! I’ve been vegan for 7 years and I make no effort to get extra protein. My friends are vegan and they don’t obsess over protein. You need less than 12% of your daily caloric intake from protein.

    You NEED carbs. They’re the fuel your body runs off of. A good book that explains this is The McDougall Program for Maximum Weight Loss by Dr. John McDougall.

    You can eat corn and potatoes and lose weight. You don’t need meat. It’s unhealthy and inhumane. A vegan diet is the way to lose weight.

Here’s a question!I ate ALOT of carbs and then 1h later I did a blood sugar test It was completely in the normal ranges of 4.6 mmol/l which compared to my morning blood sugar is kinda weird 5 mmol/l.now, what does this mean?Has insulin already lowered my blood sugar so fast in that 1 hour?Or is it simply not that many carbs as I think for my body?Also a note I do cardio every 2 days if not every day from 30min to 1h sometimes even longer.But the other thing is that I have mild hypotyroidism.So..

    I have type 2 diabetes and my dr put me on insulin because he did not want to try other pills. I need to lose weight and will this insulin keep me fat?

I just meant they consume a good amount of butter :) I heard their wine intake helps offset their dairy based fat intake, you can also get insight into their effective weight management (femme specific) from a book called ‘bringing up bebe’ in the early chapters. Seems the french womens approach is based on sensible choices, and sensible serving sizes with a national mission of “keeping our women looking good” lol – class..

    I wonder, why pick on only McDonalds? If anything pick on white castle or long johns. These places use the most hydrogenated oils in their fried foods and hamburgers. Mc donalds is actually one of the better places to indulge. Not to say that it is good or healthy, but there is far worse.

However, some of the calorie content is a little exaggerated … for example an average doughnut doesn’t have 450 calories – it is at most 300 calories (most of them are about 250) and mcdonalds patty is at most 300 (a whole cheeseburger is about 300 cals) not saying that it is healthy but just wanted to know where you get your information from.
