Pizza Puffs

In high school I remember having a pizza puff at lunch most days out of the week. Ugh, those were so good. I still ate them after high school but when I started my healthy journey those days were over. Until now that is…these are just as delicious, probably more filling and definitely healthier! Super easy protein pancake recipe! 2 Ingredients and it tastes delicious. Here’s the recipe (makes 2 pancakes): – 2 scoops Protein2Fit Vanilla Whey Protein Isolate (or whichever brand you use – 2/3 cup of egg whites – 1-2 tsp of chia seeds (OPTIONAL) Blend it up in a blender. Grill on a pan. I use coconut oil so it doesn’t stick to the pan. Top it with whatever you want. I like to use peanut butter and some sugar free syrup. Nutrition Facts per pancake: – 150 calories – 25g protein – 4g fiber – 1.5g net carbs

  1. Anyone read anything about this excellent cookbook called Chef 790 Secrets? My roommate lost about 12 extra pounds in only a month or two just after learning the recipes! Simply just google the site I cannot recall the address.

  2. Im from Chicago and I’ve been craving a Pizza Puff. I stumbled on ur video yesterday and decided to try ur recipe out. I used pepperoni instead of morning star and I must say that this recipe was wonderful! My husband loved them too! Thank you for posting!!

  3. Oh how i miss pizza puffs!

  4. I love your apron!

  6. @mydollstuff Thank you! <3

  7. Yay!! Let me know how it comes out please!

Unfortunately, they don’t have a Kroger’s in San Antonio. :( It seems like HEB has dominated the market here. That’s one of the things I miss about Chicago is the variety of everything including grocery stores.

  8. Ugh! I hate when my grocery store is out of something. I swear I take it personally. LOL

  9. Thank you!! <3

  10. omg I love those things! I’ve had the same thing happen to me as far as them being sold out. When that happens I’ll throw a hissy and then I’ll grab the sausage patties or links to try and make do. But I stomp off just to show my disapproval! LOL

  11. oh gosh. I’ll check it out. Thank you for letting me know!

  12. Hi Rocky,

But If I click from the one listed in your profile page it is ok. Just to let you know :)

morning star sausage crumbles are amazing!! they are always sold out of them at my local store. they have the ground beef ones, but i don’t even buy those anymore bc the italian sausage ones are so good.

i am so gonna make these!! great idea. (we call them pizza pockets. i remember having those at school too!)

  14. I just wanted to reach into my computer and just have one little bite…another recipe Im going to try…..went to our local grocery store the other day and they had no zucchini…did everyone in my small town watch and make your hashbrown recipe……

  15. Rocky, are you on Facebook?

  16. Rocky, another great recipe, I know what I am having for dinner tomorrow.
Thanks for the recipe. You should shop at Krogers there they have great deals on cheese apply for the signature card and you get discounts and points not to mention that they send you coupons for the items that you buy most from there. Give them a try. I see that you shop at HEB a lot great store also.

  17. Ooh your crepe sounds good! I love the fact that so many different flours are available now. I was just reading about a garbanzo bean flour the other day. Definitely need to try that one. I love my beans!

  27. only 150 cals but 25 g of protein? that’s a good deal

  28. I cook pancakes at a very low heat. While it’s true that proteins can be denatured by heat, unless the protein structure is particularly delicate or exposed to extremely high temperatures for extended periods of time, any denaturation that takes place is likely to be minimal. It is also important to keep in mind that denatured DOES NOT equal non-nutritious or unavailable – denaturation simply refers to a situation where the physical or chemical structure of a protein is rearranged.

  29. Wait…What about protein denaturation? It brokes on high temparatue.

  30. You lost all the fat already!?

  31. Yep. Any type of protein should work just fine.

  32. awesome will try this for sure.. thanks

  33. This is genius!
